Overheard in Browne’s Addition
A decent looking family walked westbound on Pacific just before the round about. The mother and father tugged around their curious 5-year old (maybe 6). They began to veer right on N. Cannon.
Boy: Daddy, why can’t we go that way?
Father: Because there’s a fire.
Boy: You mean a REAL fire?
I kept on walking. In my mind though, I turned around and said:
Me: That’s not a fire. THIS is a fire.
